The Naismith Memorial Basketball Corridor of Fame introduced the category of legends who will likely be enshrined in Springfield, Massachusetts this summer season.
Former NBA stars Vince Carter and Chauncey Billups headline the 13-member class, which additionally contains Lakers legends Michael Cooper and Jerry West — who’s the primary individual to be inducted into the Corridor of Fame as each a participant and a contributor.
The total record of nominees from the North American and ladies’s committees had been unveiled in December. Finalists for enshrinement had been introduced forward of NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake Metropolis, and the complete class was introduced as a part of the NCAA males’s basketball Ultimate 4 weekend in Houston.
Enshrinement weekend will start at Mohegan Solar in Connecticut on Aug. 16, with the tip-off celebration and awards gala, inclusive of the Class of 2024 jacket and ring presentation and the annual Corridor of Fame Awards. The enshrinement ceremony will happen Aug. 17 in Springfield’s historic Symphony Corridor.
