Cup Drivers Berry, Preece Join KHI Late Model Program

Berry, who will drive SHR’s No. 4 Ford within the Cup Collection subsequent season, will return to his roots competing in three Late Mannequin Inventory races behind the wheel of the No. 62 Ford.

He’ll make his KHI debut on Saturday night time for the “Fall Brawl” at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway the place he will probably be paired for the primary time along with his Cup crew chief, Rodney Childers.

Preece, who drives the No. 41 Ford for SHR, will drive KHI’s No. 62 Late Mannequin on Dec. 30 within the prestigious Snowball Derby at 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Calif. It will mark Preece’s second look competing within the late mannequin crown jewel occasion.

“The Snowball Derby is a prestigious race for all these full fender guys, and me coming from the Northeast and open wheels, I nearly really feel just like the outlaw,” Preece stated. “That man who just isn’t from the collection and I’m going to come back in and attempt to take their trophy.

“Driving for Kevin Harvick and KHI, and representing Morton Buildings, it might imply loads to me to convey the Tom Dawson trophy again to North Carolina and possibly again to Connecticut sooner or later.”
